I am dedicated to creating a safe, collaborative environment where couples can explore the challenges and stressors interfering with their relationship.  My goal is to assist you and your partner to heal from the relationship wounds, which have greatly impacted your connection, communication, intimacy, and relationship satisfaction.

I believe empathic communication is the foundation for change in couples. Through in-session exercises and guided conversations, you will begin to notice yourself gaining greater self-awareness of communication patterns, attachment styles, and relational boundaries to reduce the distance between you and your partner. My hope is that throughout our work together, you can experience movement toward greater emotional wealth to break free from perpetual conflicts impacting the quality of your relationship.

I utilize a trauma-informed approach that is person-centered and solution-focused. I integrate emotionally-focused therapy (EFT), psycho-dynamic therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.  I am trained in the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy (Level II).

I’ve worked with couples, families, and individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences that have experienced parenting/co-parenting and family issues, interpersonal conflict, grief and loss, crisis, and depression and anxiety.

Coming to see a therapist takes courage but tapping into that courage is the first step towards healing yourself and your relationships.

Services are delivered in English and Arabic.

Education: Hamzah holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and has completed a Certificate in Couple and Family Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University.
